Unit involved in DREAM

  • All activities in DREAM will be performed by Zamudio working center.

  • CTA- ZAMUDIO is a Fluidynamic Test Bed specialized on Low Pressure Turbines and Exhaust systems.

European Programs participation:

  • FP5/FP6: SILENCER, VITAL, TRYSID, AISHA, NICE TRIP.
  • FP7 1st call: DREAM, FUTURE, FANTOM II, AISHA II.
     

 

CTA and DREAM

In DREAM CTA will contribute to development of an optimised high speed Low Pressure Turbine design for the geared open rotor configuration (WP 2.5):  Rig aerodynamic tests will be carried out to validate efficiency recovery measures.

CTA provides experience in developing aerodynamic testing capabilities and measurement techniques in the field of Low Pressure Turbines.

CTA objectives in DREAM:

  • Further development of aerodynamic testing capabilities technologies.
  • To help European industrial community to achieve ACARE environmental goals.
  • Participating in an European collaborative project as an open research institution.
