Main Products in Aero-engine business
As a “risk and revenue sharing partner”, AVIO is responsible for the design, production and after-sales support of Transmission Systems (GE90, LM2500, TRENT900, ..), Low Pressure Turbines (GE90, PW308, GENX, CT7, …) and Combustion Systems (RH EJ200, SaM146).
Research and Technology
Almost 10% of actual company turnover is invested in R&T and in close collaboration with European Universities and Research Centres. In the turbine and combustion area, since 1992, AVIO has participated to the most promising research projects/programs funded by EC (ANTLE, VITAL, CLEAN, and streps) and by Italian Minister of Research.
